Moving Companies With the Most Google Reviews (2026)

We ranked every mover in the Trunk database by Google review count. The table below shows the top 30 companies with more than 500 verified Google reviews. Review counts were pulled directly from Google Business Profiles.

A few patterns stand out. The top two companies, Stairhopper Movers and MyProMovers, have more than double the reviews of the third-place company. Geographic clusters are visible: the Boston metro, DC metro, Atlanta metro, and Los Angeles metro dominate. And most of these companies maintain ratings at or above 4.8, though a few high-volume operators sit closer to 4.3.

A company with thousands of Google reviews is signaling one thing clearly: consistent, ongoing operations over a long period. You do not accumulate 5,000+ reviews by doing 100 moves a year. These are companies performing hundreds or thousands of moves annually, year after year.

That said, review volume is not a quality score. It is a volume score. A company with 6,000 reviews and a 4.3 rating may have more unhappy customers in absolute numbers than a company with 200 reviews and a 4.9 rating. Volume tells you about scale. Rating tells you about consistency.

There is a well-documented pattern in service businesses: as review volume increases, maintaining a perfect or near-perfect rating becomes harder. A company doing 3,000 moves a year will inevitably encounter situations where things go wrong. Weather delays, damaged items, scheduling conflicts, difficult access at pickup or delivery locations.

Companies like Stairhopper Movers and MyProMovers maintain 5.0 ratings at extremely high volumes, which is unusual. Companies like International Van Lines (4.3 at 1,160 reviews) and ABC Moving Center (4.3 at 890 reviews) show more typical patterns for high-volume operators. Neither rating is inherently better or worse. The context matters.

Review count and star rating are starting points, not endpoints. When evaluating a mover with a large review profile, look at these additional signals.

Recency. Are the reviews from the last 6 months, or did most come in 2 years ago? A company that peaked at 2,000 reviews but gets very few new ones may have changed ownership, lost key staff, or reduced operations.

Owner responses. Does the company respond to negative reviews? How they handle complaints publicly is a strong indicator of how they will handle your complaint privately.

Detail in reviews. Reviews that mention specific crew members, describe the move in detail, or reference particular challenges are more credible than generic one-line reviews.

Distribution. A healthy review profile has a mix of 5-star, 4-star, and occasional 3-star reviews. A profile that is 100% 5-star with no detail warrants scrutiny.

High review volume can mask problems. Watch for these patterns.

Sudden spikes. If a company received 500 reviews in a single month after averaging 20 per month, something changed. This can indicate purchased reviews or an aggressive review solicitation campaign.

No negative reviews at all. Every legitimate business gets occasional negative feedback. A company with 2,000+ reviews and zero 1-star or 2-star reviews is statistically improbable.

Generic language. Reviews that say "Great movers! Highly recommend!" without any specific detail, especially when dozens of them appear in the same week, are a warning sign.

No owner responses to negative reviews. A company that only responds to positive reviews and ignores complaints is telling you how they handle problems.
