Premium Q Moving & Storage

Marian from Premium Q Moving and Storage first came out to our residence to see all that needed to be moved in order to give us an accurate estimate. Working with them first over the phone and then in person was a pleasure. Marian and his staff arrived to the house promptly on the day of the move and proceeded to help us finish packing before loading the truck. They wrapped everything in blankets and removed the legs from the furniture. They were so professional and pleasant, that I felt like we had really lucked out. Once at the new residence, they unloaded quickly and placed the right furniture and boxes in the corresponding rooms. They were very pleasant to work with and they did a great job. We did have an issue in which they underestimated the size of our move. In addition to a 26 foot truck, we could have filled another 10 foot truck. As a result, a lot of our boxes and some small furniture pieces were left behind. Marian offered to come back with his crew a few days later in order to finish the move. We got to nervous and didn't want to wait because we were at a deadline to get moved out, so we rented a U-Haul and hired two men to help us load and unload the rest of our things. All in all, we were very happy with Premium Q Moving and Storage staff's professional attitude, excellent packing skills and their conscientious work ethic in getting the job done carefully and in a timely manner. I am getting ready to move again next week, and after getting bids from movers closer to where we now live, I decided to contact Marian to give him a chance to bid as well. Marian offered us a discount to compensate for the issue that we had over 1.5 years ago, and I am happy to report that we are giving this company another chance to make things right, and we are grateful for the discount, and look forward to working with Marian and his crew again.

I had the best experience with Premium Q moving. The packing job they did for me was exceptional. I had a fragile piece of art that was very large and it arrived after storage in perfect condition. The guys were attentive, had great ideas and were incredibly hard working. I can't recommend this company enough. I moved from Middlesex County down to the South Shore and had storage for a few weeks. Everything went smoothly. Love them!

My movers were great! They called ahead to let me know when to expect them. They work hard and professionally during the move. They even set up and fixed up our TV in our new condo! And they were great at accommodating our change when we found that we could not fit all stuff in the new condo and had to leave quite a lot of boxes to our second home. The move to our second home was equally smooth and great! I highly recommend!

Pros: The movers were very efficient, polite, and treated items carefully, everything was tightly wrapped in cushioned material. When the move was considerably less than the 3 hour minimum, they offered to move furniture around my home and they moved a piece of furniture from my basement curbside for trash disposal. Cons: Arrived outside the assigned time window (they did call to tell me when they were leaving), forgot to put glass shaking from a china cabinet on the truck (they did call to inform me about this error, but it was easier for me to retrieve the delicate item rather than return to the location), and a knob was broken on the china cabinet when it arrived at its destination, which they tried to repair. (Unclear how it got broken during the move but hopefully the repair will hold.)

I got a quote before booking PremiumQ and chose the appropriate type of house we were moving from, where we were moving to, and even noted that the large basement was packed with things that also needed to be moved. Unfortunately, in the end, we were charged over 45% more than we were quoted because it took them longer than expected. I understand that a quote is just a quote, but this was enough of a difference that I was a bit frustrated, hence the deduction of a star. Otherwise, the experience on the day itself was great! The movers were professional and helpful with disassembling/reassembling the couple large pieces of furniture we had. I do recommend PremiumQ in the end, but also recommend being extra thorough when getting your quote. I think the price in the end was reasonable considering other moving companies quoted me around that number.

Move out of house to storage went well. They laid down paper to protect newly finished floors. When moving into townhouse at a later date however they did not come prepared to protect carpeting with plastic or paper, although company was sent both text and email as a reminder about the carpets. Lead guy did what he could and cut down a few blankets and squeezed cartons so they were designated inside or outside. Furniture was placed accurately and assembled fast. The guys never took a break and worked straight thru the entire day. All were very friendly.
