Report a Moving Company
Your report is reviewed by Trunk and added to the mover's profile as a documented complaint. This helps other consumers make informed decisions. We do not publish your name or email without your permission.
What Happens After You Report
1. We review the report. Every submission is reviewed for completeness and cross-referenced against the mover's FMCSA record, existing complaints, and review patterns.
2. The complaint is added to the mover's profile. Documented complaints appear as red flags on the mover's Trunk page. Other consumers see them when researching that company.
3. Patterns get flagged. When multiple consumers report the same issue (overcharging, hostage loads, damage), the mover is flagged to avoid in our database. This flag appears on every page where that mover is listed.
You Should Also File With
FMCSA (federal regulator for interstate movers): File a complaint at FMCSA. This is the most important step for interstate moves. FMCSA tracks complaint volume by carrier and can revoke operating authority.
Your state attorney general: Handles intrastate (within-state) moving complaints. Search "[your state] attorney general consumer complaint" to find the form.
BBB: File at bbb.org/file-a-complaint. BBB complaints appear on the company's BBB profile and affect their rating.
Google Reviews: Leave a detailed, factual review on the company's Google Business Profile. Include the date of your move, what was quoted vs charged, and specific issues. Google reviews are the most visible consumer signal.
