Do NOT use this company, they will scam you. Value Added Moving took a $8,942.57 deposit on a written binding estimate of $12,642 and provided literally zero services.I gave them a complete, exhaustive inventory of every item in my house. On 8/14 they confirmed movers would arrive the morning of 8/15. No one showed. Call logs prove it. The next day (8/16) a crew finally appeared and demanded $56,000 on the spot with no new written estimate or contract. I refused and made them leave without loadi

DO NOT HIRE ADDED VALUE. And don't believe the positive reviews you might find, either. It takes just a few minutes to verify that most of them come from fake profiles with only one or two Google reviews. They offer a quote with an attractive price (though it isn't actually that cheap). I ended up moving with a company that charged less than Added Value's initial quote. But when the move is about to start, they make up excuses to raise the cost of the service. In my case, they quoted $2,000 but then demanded an additional $1,500.

We had an extremely concerning experience with Value Added Moving and would STRONGLY caution others before using them. During the sales process, they presented themselves as a family-owned, veteran-owned moving company that operated their own trucks. At no point was it clearly disclosed that they were acting as a broker who would outsource the move to other companies. After providing detailed inventory, photos, and measurements during a required 'quality assurance' call, our quote increased significantly. Then on moving day, after our items were already packed, the cost had increased again to nearly double. At that point, we were told that if we cancelled, we would lose our $4,200 deposit, leaving us with no realistic option but to proceed. Ultimately, our shipment was handed off between multiple companies without our knowledge or consent, and Value Added Moving took no accountability for the outcome.

These guys are awful. They agreed to move a hot tub then arrived and said it was a 'bulky item' and more would be charged. The quote called for a hot tub up to 2100 pounds, even though it only weighed 813 pounds. They would not call me and just blamed me. I paid but have contested the payment via Chase. Still trying to figure out the hot tub move. Do NOT use these guys.

I had never used a moving company before however found value added moving online. It was a horrible experience. Customer service is poor. I was asked to submit an itemized inventory of my things but because of the language barrier most of my items were left because they said it went by space and not items. Upon delivery of my items again broken English no communication however, enough to understand the total was the price increase. They said it was from the price increase. Do not use value added moving company.

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY POSSIBLY!!! We contacted early to get a quote for our 4 bedroom house to move cross country from VA to FL. They said there were no hidden charges. On the day of our move, the fee went from $8,000 to $12,800. We had to pay by credit card. The remaining payment would be due at delivery. In the end, I had to coordinate the delivery myself and forgot several things. Michael said there would be no upcharge due to the problems but the delivery team still demanded a higher price at the door.

Spent three hours documenting every item. 24 hours before the move, dispatch called saying a smaller truck was coming, resulting in a price increase of thousands. When I specifically asked if they were a broker, I was told they were not. My move was handed off to another company. What was sold as a 3-day direct move turned into 31 days without our belongings. Their 'warehouse' turned out to be a public storage unit under someone else's name. I only knew because I had AirTags hidden throughout our shipment. Final payment demanded via cash, Zelle, or money orders before unloading, before I could verify all belongings arrived. I have recorded phone calls with Value Added Moving, LoadRans LLC, and Coastal Movers.

Quoted $10,000 for approx. 3,100 cu ft move. Salesman Scott Fineman gave the quote. When concerns raised about reviews, Samantha Lewis dismissed them. 24 hours before move, Suzy Anderson from dispatch said a smaller truck was coming, resulting in thousands more. The company that showed up (not Value Added) wanted an additional $13,000. They are a broker despite explicitly denying it when asked. Move was brokered to Loadrans LLC and Coastal Movers. Items took 31 days to arrive instead of 3. AirTags revealed belongings were stored in a public storage unit under someone else's name, not a company warehouse. Final payment demanded via cash/Zelle/USPS money order before unloading and before verifying all items arrived. Items arrived damaged and missing. Has recorded phone calls with Value Added Moving, Loadrans LLC, Coastal Movers, the storage facility, and local police.

Provided detailed inventory list and received a binding estimate. Paid $1,630 deposit to book. Told remaining balance would be $650 on moving day and $650 on delivery. On moving day, paid the $650, then movers presented a contract with extra charges for long carry, stairs (despite first flight being included), and packing materials. Told if he did not sign he would lose the $1,630 and $650 already paid and they would not move his stuff. Signed under duress. About an hour later, after loading a portion of belongings, movers presented a separate handwritten page showing new total of $7,060 with $2,390 due immediately and another $2,390 on delivery. Refused to pay. Movers left with only a small portion of belongings, claiming he was already at the limit provided in the quote. Consumer documented the experience and has created a dedicated website with evidence.

Value Added quoted a price. The thursday before the Monday move, they called and went over the inventory again and the initial quote of 4,700 more than doubled to just over 10k and I had to send more money as down payment. Moving day arrives and they take their time slowly wrapping, etc and then loading the truck. They then try to say were well over the quote size and they need 22k. We tell them take off all of the large items, even though Id already decided not to take the washer, dryer and several other bulky items beforehand. Finally got 10k knocked off, and since it was around 7 at night, banks and the post office were closed so they accepted my credit card for 6,700. They called last night threatening to take my stuff to California, and I moved from Mississippi to Kentucky, if I dont have 4,600 in cash or postal money order for them Thursday night at 7-8 when they said they could be here.
