Only 0.4% of moving companies profiled in the Trunk database have achieved and maintained a BBB A+ rating. This is the highest rating the Better Business Bureau assigns and indicates a company has met specific standards for complaint resolution, transparency, and business practices.

The top 30 companies by Google review count are listed below. Review count is used as a proxy for move volume, since companies with more reviews have typically served more customers.

The BBB rates businesses on a scale from A+ to F based on 13 factors including complaint history, time in business, type of business, advertising practices, and transparency.

An A+ rating means the company has responded to complaints, has been in business long enough to establish a track record, and has not engaged in practices that trigger BBB downgrades.

Importantly, BBB ratings are not based on customer satisfaction surveys or review scores. A company can have a 2-star average on BBB reviews and still hold an A+ rating if it responds to complaints within the BBB system.
