DO NOT USE SAFEWAY MOVING. They are a borderline scam. First, a sales person gives you a much lower quote than you'd get otherwise. Safeway salespersons just want to get something approximate on the books so they can quote you low over the phone. They weren't interested in going through item by item. The day of the move, the movers show up and start filling out the actual inventory then quote way more than you were originally quoted. I went from about 4k to 10k. Sales tells you to expect delivery 7-14 days from your first available delivery day. The second they have your stuff, they tell you 14-21 days. I received no communication from them since they picked up my stuff over a month ago. Checking Yelp and more legitimate sources, they have very poor reviews very recently. I have been bamboozled.

Moved from Austin to Chicago. They picked up my stuff and it sat in a warehouse in Dallas for like a month, and then they loaded it into a different truck and dropped it off in Chicago. Only when we were unloading, they had a couch that wasn't mine. It was clear they'd tagged the piece of furniture with a blue sticker like the rest of my stuff, but I only had the one couch they'd already unloaded. Meanwhile, a week or two later after I've finally opened all the boxes and my expensive ass gaming PC is nowhere to be found. Maybe in the weeks it was sitting around in some warehouse, someone there decided they might help themselves to it. Other fun facts: You can pay with a check on the way out, but on delivery you have to have cash or a fucking money order. I could barely read the receipt for how much it was going to be for delivery, and after asking customer service to clarify, she told me she'd call me back and then just never did.

I'm with you. I used Maffuci Bekire, supposedly big and well reviewed and they did the same thing. So I hear you.

Roberto & Carlos came today and they were so nice and helpful and even educated me on proper handling of TVs and painting. They even re-wrapped the knifes. They went above and beyond. Hire Safeway Movers.

Max, Michael, Paul and Nick did an amazing job helping my parents move into their new home! They went above and beyond with assisting us to assemble furniture and were incredibly careful and gentle with my parents possessions. Skilled movers that can efficiently handle a big job.

Erik was great, I'm very pleased with the service. The delivery guys (Rodolfo and the other guy) deserve an award, they climbed 4 floors of stairs and delivered and set up the major furniture pieces with so much care. Great service that offloaded a ton of stress and energy for me and my wife.

Alex and Obi were excellent! Took the time to wrap everything carefully. See photos. They were punctual, professional and friendly! From my first contact with the company all has gone smoothly. They are easy to contact and keep in touch throughout. I highly recommend Safeway!

I recently used Safeway Moving for my long distance move from CT to FL. There were a lot of positives about my experience. The crew that came for pick up was very professional. They were respectful about my stuff and took care while packing. They figured out things they were unfamiliar with and made it work.

AMAZING! We moved from IL to PA and it was a breeze. Picked up on Wednesday, dropped off on Saturday. $55 but worth every single penny. They were really fast and efficient, and so kind and well-mannered. The actual move was so EASY because of Safeway Moving. They literally wrapped everything in blankets, wrapped absolutely everything, including furniture and my husband's home gym, and then unloaded everything into our new apartment.

Awesome experience. Dean and his crew were great! They unloaded and put together all of our furniture. A+ past 8 years and I would highly recommend them. We'll be calling him again when we move again.

Safeway Moving handled our office move in the most professional way we could ask for. They made sure to properly tag all the items and boxes and helped coordinate with building management. The supervisor made sure to clean up after themselves and the supervisor made sure to ask if there was anything else we needed.

Safeway Moving Systems handled my long distance move from Fort Lauderdale and I couldn't be happier with how it went. The quote I got was fair and ended up matching the final cost. The crew showed up right on time, worked fast, and packed everything carefully. Communication was clear throughout the whole process and they kept me updated until my stuff arrived. Everything came in perfect condition and there were no surprise charges or delays. I'd definitely use Safeway again.

Started off great. Originally quoted $3,200, final payout was $4,222. Third party mover picked up my belongings. I had personally packed everything and had all inventory staged for pick up. My total of 72 items vs their total of 94 items. Took 26 days for delivery after calls and texts with initial answers of "dispatching doesn't have a time frame yet." Boxes were ransacked through and retagged. Numerous items missing and items not delivered at all. Boxes smashed.

Probably the first problem for the customer is their apparent business model. They promise a lot with estimated prices that will almost always be significantly below what the customer will receive from major van lines. They take a 30% down payment on the quotation when the customer agrees. When they come to pick up the furniture, they want another 50% of the balance. The customers goods are loaded onto a truck, unloaded into a warehouse (usually in New Jersey) to await a moving van with other customers moving in that direction. The opportunity for damage is high. The final 50% of the balance has to be paid in cash, cashiers check or money order. I have moved cross-country and overseas 13 times with different movers. This is the worst moving company anyone can experience.
