They are unethical!!I spoke with Lucas, who falsely claimed that they were a legitimate moving company, stating all their trucks had logos and that they take photos and inventory of items. After discussing everything with him, I paid the deposit and finalized an agreement to pay the remaining balance upon delivery. On the day of pickup, the movers arrived four hours late in a $19.95 U-Haul truck. We hired them for a long distance move and having moved across country before I was excited to work with them. However, they use companies that will gouge you for additional money threatening to not move your things. The quote is a joke and our final costs came to double the original quote. When our items were delivered they were all over the truck because were not strapped down. The

Cassie BUS•1 reviewAug 27, 2024MISLEADING PRACTICES AND LIES!!!This is not a moving a company. This is a broker that hires or contracts out to subpar, at best, moving companies in the area that you are moving from. As many of the other reviews have stated, they do not arrive on time and definitely do not arrive on the day of schedule. There is always an additional fee other than what was quoted. Furniture is not stored with furniture coverings and pads as advertised and will sustain damage. They

I paid the $463.00 more. They arrive 3 hours late. They had a new contract to sign doubling their price yet again. The truck was not a moving truck but a box truck. No advertising loaded with another customers items taking up 3/4 of the truck. They wanted to take 1/2 my load, deliver the 3/4 full items.

They picked up my items a day late, they promised 7-9days delivery, 21 days later, there’s no update and no delivery. They were very quick to collect an upfront payment to hold the booking, afterwards, customer service has been unreachable, they keep passing me from line to line with no concrete feedback. We-Haul Moving Services LLC (carrier)Bronze Star Moving and Storage (broker)

Consumer (67, disabled, breast cancer recovery) called for a moving quote. A man named John offered 2,000 claiming an empty truck on the Billings to Denver route. Paid 1,000 by check. Movers arrived 2 hours late in an Enterprise rental with Washington plates. Immediately raised price to 9,000, threatening loss of deposit if refused. After 2.5 hours of haggling with dispatch (Abdul, described as abusive and misogynistic), agreed to take only a third of a truck. Took 1,000 cash with no receipt, no bill of lading, refused to allow photos. At 4pm, Bronze Star Moving and Storage (FL broker, DOT 3710555) called to finalize the move, unaware items had already been taken. Items never delivered. Consumer contacted police, DOT, AARP, sheriffs in two counties. Made a suicide attempt from the trauma. Stolen items: golf clubs, electric bike, 2,500 dollar dresser, freezer, daybed, hanging chair. Fraud counselor advised items likely sold for bitcoin. Elder abuse case.

Bronze Star Moving and Storage (broker)Movers and Packers Relocation Specialists (carrier)

Consumer contacted Allied Moving for an interstate move. Allied said the area was out of their service territory and recommended Bronze Star Moving and Storage, a Florida broker. First binding estimate: ~$10,000. After a video walkthrough by Frank Callahan, estimate nearly doubled to $19,000 for "additional inventory." On moving day, an unknown company, Movers and Packers Relocation Specialists, arrived with a 1,700 cubic foot Penske truck for a move estimated at 1,900 cubic feet. Crew pressured consumer's daughter not to contact the broker. A second truck (U-Haul) was called. Bronze Star told the consumer: "Since you let them load, your contract is with the haulers." Movers demanded nearly $20,000 in cash. Consumer's attorney advised paying 110% of binding estimate under protest. Movers refused cashier's checks and drove away with belongings. Jennifer Tattoli of Movers and Packers texted calling consumer "sneaky" for attempting a legally compliant payment. Company required photo of cash with bank receipt before scheduling delivery. Both Penske and U-Haul trucks were overdue and reported stolen by rental companies. Delivery finally scheduled for 6pm on a Sunday. $19,980 in cash counted by flashlight on a driveway. Total cost: $30,000, or $68 per mile for 438 miles. Consumer later visited two Bronze Star addresses in Florida. One led to a fenced water treatment facility. Consumer founded Facebook group "Moving? Tips on moving and avoiding Moving Scams" (359 members) and compiled 88-page document sent to FMCSA, DOT, state AGs, FBI, and news organizations.
