| 5/5 | When moving from the south to Boston, Exela was amazing! Because of city permitting and our timing we moved our stuff via a shipping pod that was stored for a month outside the city. Exela movers drove to the facility unpacked the pod, repacked into their truck, and then unpacked again into our apartment downtown. They were friendly, quick, and careful with our things. | 1/5 | Be very careful when hiring this company, they do not provide the 101 booklet to show how they are allowed to charge. They charged me a travel fee and charged me for them leaving their Warehouse 45 minutes and arriving back to their warehouse 45 minutes plus an additional travel fee. The movers were only there for 3 hours and only physically moved for two hours and 20 minutes. I was charged over $1000 just for two hours and 20 minutes to help unload a truck for me. The travel charge should be for them to travel back and forth plus the labor fee they worked. I was charged incorrectly. | Nancy Mancle | |
| 1/5 | I did a lot of research, and this seemed like the perfect company. I hired them for an interstate move with full service packing, and all seemed fine until I began unpacking my belongings. Many things were broken or poorly packed. There was a hole in my couch and a gash in my china cabinet. Items purchased for the move were damaged. Breakable items were not wrapped and tossed into boxes. I contacted them explaining I was not happy with what I was finding. I received a response from the owner that was truly insulting. He attempted to gaslight me stating things were already broken or that I had packed things his crew had. He offered a small refund, but it was not even enough to cover damages. Additionally, there was sentimental value to damaged items that I cannot place a price on. I don't know if his crew lied to him or if he just doesn't care, but I would not recommend using another company. | A M |
