Consumer contracted with United Best in February 2023. Not told the move would be subcontracted. Paid two installments totaling $5,000. On February 25, belongings loaded. Days later, "Chris R" from Roadrunner demanded remaining balance before delivery. After months of threats, consumer told delivery would be June 30. Carrier demanded payment before delivery via money orders. When consumer asked who to make money orders out to, driver said "Roadrunner Transit." Chris R told consumer to leave money orders blank and have driver fill them out. Consumer called police and filed a report but had no legal right to her own belongings. Total loss nearly $10,000. Roadrunner had changed names multiple times: Polaris, Roadrunner Moving, Roadrunner Transit, Roadrunner Movings Pro.
