Fernando and his team did an incredible job moving our furniture. We had two things we were worried about moving, an oversized couch and many crates of vinyl records. They made it so easy. I needed them to make three stops in Los Angeles, two residences and a storage unit, to combine two households, and then move in what is considered a long distance move to the Coachella Valley. They were extremely experienced and professional movers. They knew how to breakdown adjustable beds and bed frames, wrap furniture up properly, work quickly and efficiently, and load and unload carefully. Did a few of my glass table tops make it there? Yes! It happens, and there was a scratch on the table but that was it. Nothing major got damaged and all the men who worked that day were so friendly and thoughtful. I am writing this review today (I wrote one on Yelp back in 2021) because I am going to engage their services again. That is how good of an experience it was. Fingers crossed it will be the same almost 5 years later. I found that pricing was reasonable in that Prodigy was not the most expensive and the service was exceptional for the price point. You can find cheapest, but as the expression goes, you get what you pay for. I would rather pay a bit more for great service. | L M | |

I have checked everyone's DOT as this move was not going to be an easy one considering the requirements. In the end, Prodigy over-achieved, met every requirement without hassle, communicated clearly, and absolutely stood by their word and contract. I was anticipating some breakage. It was a 1,100 mile trip with elevation, but everything was delivered on-time and in the same exact condition it was packed in. Prodigy is a very respectful company and they honor their word. In the moving industry that is a rare find. Going forward, for any moves, big or small, this is the only company I will ever recommend. There is no one better. Josue and his team arrived right on time and provided an accurate estimate of how long the move would take. When we asked for a bit of extra help, they were incredibly accommodating, they disassembled our old broken bed for disposal and even helped pack up our closets, which we had not originally planned on. They worked efficiently and finished everything quickly, helping us avoid overtime costs. Despite moving large pieces like our sleeper sectional up a flight of outdoor stairs, nothing was damaged. The team was friendly, professional, and took direction well. Their pricing was competitive, and we appreciated that we could save a bit by booking on a weekday and paying in cash. Moving is always stressful, but Prodigy made the process smooth and straightforward. The second time around, I had three movers, Josue, Raul and Luis. They were on-time, great at communication, respectful, and efficient and personable. I love that they take into consideration their job but also their customers, making what is usually what a stressful day. Shout out to Veronica for managing the whole experience in a friendly and professional matter from start to finish. | 5/5 | We moved from Los Angeles to Florida. We rented a U-Haul and had a team of movers from Prodigy load the Truck. They did an amazing job. Our truck was actually too small for all our stuff. The Prodigy team loaded the largest/heaviest things first, and packed it like advanced Tetris. (And now you have that theme song stuck in your head.) What didn't fit in the truck easily fit in a trailer. If we had tried a different team, I don't believe things would have gone a smoothly as they did. Additionally, they were so efficient that the cost was less than I had anticipated. The only way things could have gone better for us if Prodigy did long distance moves. | 4/5 | I like the first part of my move was excellent. They packed all my things carefully and had extra supplies on hand and a wonderful cushioning system. I had very little damage. I only gave them four stars because they lost a couple of my things. About 2 paintings and a brown event moving, but they worked hard to locate the items. The paintings were found out a week later, and there was some permanent damage to one of the canvases. In the end, the only thing that was lost was a broom. Also the moving crew had a long haul from the elevator but didn't charge me, and they were very helpful in setting up a few pieces of furniture and hauling away the debris. Also, an important note regarding those positive reviews: any negative reviews my husband or I write seem to disappear when viewed on incognito mode here or Yelp, so it appears they are very aggressively managing their profile and I would be leary of trusting what your read. As far as what happened: their movers either lost or stole approximately $7,000 of our belongings on a three mile move. Some of it, such as small valuables and prescriptions I could at least see the rationale of stealing. Some, such as a bunch of my clothes, seemed very odd to intentionally take, but who knows. In any event, once this was raised during the unpacking process they became very rude and confrontational. First of all, the reservation department provided me with a quote that was not even close to what I ended up paying at the pick up point by over an additional $500.00. I had a difficult time reaching anyone after many attempts. At the time of delivery, the 3 movers complained about how heavy my furniture was. They did not want to assemble any of my furniture and asked they did not have any tools! They refused to carry my head board downstairs and left it in my kitchen. | 1/5 | NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Here is my horrible experience. I am moving across the country. I called and spoke with a Baret to get a quote on pricing. I was emailed over a contract, and asked to submit a copy of my drivers license and credit card to ensure it was me. They advised they have to put down 2 days on the paperwork but that dispatch would call and advise of a date and time when the movers would arrive. The first day comes. No call. No movers. I call the company. No answer. Second day I am in this process because they have not reached out at all. I do not know if they are still coming. I am starting to think it is a scam. I began making calls to the company around 7:45. My last call was made around 2pm. All calls went unanswered. It was not until I left a dm and email requesting a refund for my money that I magically got a call asking if Monday morning pickup would work. I explain to the driver the move was scheduled for Saturday or Sunday. He said he just got the email 5 minutes before calling. So then someone named Eric from the company calls my phone. I explain the situation to him. No acknowledgement that his company was at fault and messed up, no empathy and he kept interrupting me. So then he has the audacity to say that he is going to call the movers and cancel the order and HUNG UP ON ME. I call back and ask when will the refund go back to my card. From arriving on site to pick up our stuff and refusing to lock on hundreds of dollars in unanticipated fees, putting a hole in the wall moving stuff, and claiming it was not their fault. To promising us a delivery date and then completely lying and arriving 8 days after the scheduled date. To finally arriving at our new place and initially trying to charge extra for 5 steps when the initial estimate appeared no fee for 5 steps. And ending it with refusing to put some furniture together, tossing screws to other pieces and saying not our problem even though we packed your stuff, and putting together some furniture backwards. Thanks for NOTHING Prodigy Moving and Storage, specifically Daniel, Shernique, Susan, and Brittany. Do people don't ever use this company it is the most absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional, and mismanaged company I have ever come across. They will sell your contract to anyone that bids on the move. Once they contract you, there done with you and have no further interest on when and how you will be moved. Prodigy movers sold my move to Moving express out of NY. I was missing over 15 boxes! And most half of my glass ware was broken to pieces! The cracked my 55 inch TV. Busted my bedroom furniture and just threw my boxes everywhere! My clothes and shirts were all missing. The list is endless and they cracked my kitchen legs and cracked my dining table. | 1/5 | I moved nearly 8 times and have never dealt with a more unprofessional company as Prodigy. My first quote was $1300 then two days later upped it to $1700 due to tariffs. Then upped it to $1900 due to more items added to list. OK I can deal with that. Then the evening before packing up my things, they called and upped what we owed to $2900. By this time the next day I have to be out of my place because it was sold. So we had no choice but to agree to it. When the movers arrived they decided I had way more Cubic Feet! their estimated bill is now $3600! Again, I have to be in. Was told things would be delivered in a couple of days, over two weeks and I still do not have my things. TDay they came to drop off my things. I kept checking waiting for them. They would not accept for the balance. So they drove away. Now have my things in storage across the state. AND THEY WANT $500 for storage. DO NOT USE PRODIGY! Then they put a hole in one of our walls the size of a basketball and wanted to just a little patty on and call it a day. Once I call the office they say it is not there fault don't do anything about it. Never talked to the same person they always passed the buck and no one can resolve all the stuff I am missing. Everyone I talked to were in Georgia but I don't care where they are you will be making a big mistake if you choose them. Then they put a hole in one of our walls the size of a basketball and wanted to just a little patty on and call it a day. Once I call the office they say it is not there fault don't do anything about it. Never talked to the same person they always passed the buck and no one can resolve all the stuff I am missing. Everyone I talked to were in Georgia but I don't care where they are you will be making a big mistake if you choose them. If you don't believe me wait until you make a deposit it all changes and for all the owners responses about wrong company you need to go after them!

Called for a quote and I get a sarcastic and very unprofessional comment made by the man who answered the phone. Maybe he should learn how to treat his prospective customers by talking to them in a courteous manner. I didn't use their business but if that is how they provide a quote, I am glad I didn't use them!! Suggestion, improve your customer service.
