College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving

Several of my items were completely damaged. One of the hunks smelled of weed and was useless. Move took twice the time. I have never received such poor service in my life. I saw my food items literally rolling in the parking lot because these people were so incredibly incompetent. Two of the items damaged cost more than the entire amount of the move. No refund, no insurance, do not care.

Honestly, I can't recommend these guys. I've used movers for much bigger, more complicated moves and this was probably the worst moving experience I've ever had. Only 2 guys showed up with the smaller option of truck. By 2pm my wife and I decided to pay them and cut our losses. We called corporate and the local office FOUR TIMES and were assured that a solution was in the works. Nobody ever called back.

I paid extra for the insurance to ensure I could file a claim if something like this happened. Well, the claim system doesn't exist. The movers also failed to take two of my dumbbells off the truck. I haven't talked to someone on the local office about my claim. Corporate emailed back and said the local chain will email me or call me next day. Do you think that happened? No.

UPDATE: I have reached out to this company multiple times in several different ways over the last 10 months. I have never received a response. I paid for their increased insurance coverage in case of damages during the move, and the movers broke my bed frame. Since then, I've reached out multiple times to request reimbursement, and the company has completely ignored me. No response, no accountability, and no resolution. This company is unprofessional and fraudulent.

Had College Hunks move donated 4-bedroom items to Wider Circles but they never arrived. Spoke with manager, they gave me the run around and to this day I've not hear from them. They stole all my donations. Charged $800+ not including tip. Would not recommend at all.

I booked a donation pickup / junk removal service with College Hunks in Washington, DC. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. The booking was quick and easy to make, and although I received one or two phone calls and texts from sales reps, they were not pushy in the slightest and answered all my questions.

I had good luck with College Hunks from their Rockville location when I moved 3 months ago. It was $150 an hour plus mileage and other fees so it was about $1,000. I moved an entire apartment about 10 miles away from where I previously lived and the move went very smoothly. Two guys moved everything and they were courteous and professional.
