I was transferred to a guy who gave me a full estimate that was actually a pretty good price. He talked me through the entire thing and then at the end told me that I would need to immediately pay the deposit of $500 and I need to give him my credit card information. I told him I wasn’t comfortable paying that yet

Dozens of them. I believe Budget Van lines makes money by selling your info, not by actually being a moving company.
