Caught Dumping Furniture on Camera, Fined $100, Still Operating: Pro Movers Inc

On August 3, 2022, a security camera in a Santa Ana apartment complex on Minnie Street recorded two employees of Pro Movers Inc unloading old couches and mattresses into a residential alley. When confronted by resident Cecilia Bautista, one of the men laughed.

ABC7 Eyewitness News aired the footage. Pro Movers Inc General Manager John Romero called it embarrassing and said it violated company practices. The Santa Ana Police Department issued a $100 citation. The company paid it.

Three years later, Pro Movers Inc is still operating out of Orange County with eight trucks, a BBB F rating, and a website that advertises cross-country interstate moves it does not appear to be federally authorized to perform.

Pro Movers Inc (USDOT 2211293, MC 779807) was incorporated in California on October 24, 2011 (CA SOS entity 3422980). The CEO is Furkat Ochilov, based in Irvine. Other officers include Director Almagul Jukenova (Irvine), CFO Dennis Allen (Santa Ana), and Secretary John Rose (Florence, Oregon).

The company operates from 1169 N. Grove Street in Anaheim, with a previous address at 1301 E. Edinger Avenue in Santa Ana. Its website, promoversoc.com, advertises residential, commercial, and long-distance moving services across Orange County and surrounding regions.

On the FMCSA SAFER database, Pro Movers Inc is classified as "Intrastate Only" with operating authority listed as "NOT AUTHORIZED." This means the company does not hold federal authorization to transport household goods across state lines.

Despite the "Intrastate Only" classification on its federal record, Pro Movers Inc actively advertises cross-country moving services. The company's website includes a dedicated page at promoversoc.com/cross-country-moving promoting "affordable interstate moving services" and stating its team can "deliver belongings to any place in the USA."

Customer reviews confirm interstate operations. Verified reviews on MoveAdvisor describe moves from Illinois to Florida, Illinois to Colorado, Portland to Illinois, and Roseburg, Oregon to Knoxville, Tennessee.

Performing interstate household goods moves without FMCSA authorization is a federal violation. In September 2024, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California ordered another Southern California mover, USA Logistics Inc, to pay $25,000 for the same violation.

A related entity, Pro Moving & Storage LLC (USDOT 3243696, MC 1019330), is registered at the same 1169 N. Grove Street address in Anaheim. This entity lists one truck and one driver.

Federal inspection records for Pro Moving & Storage LLC show a 40% driver out-of-service rate over the most recent 24-month reporting period. The national average for driver out-of-service rates is approximately 5.5%. The entity received a "Non-Ratable" safety review in March 2026.

Pro Moving & Storage LLC is also listed as "NOT AUTHORIZED" for interstate operations on SAFER. Its Yelp listing at the original 1301 E. Edinger address shows as "CLOSED."

Consumer complaints against Pro Movers Inc span multiple platforms and describe a pattern that goes well beyond the furniture dumping incident.

One customer reported paying $11,600 for a move and receiving every piece of furniture either badly damaged or destroyed. Pro Movers offered $372 in compensation, roughly 3% of the move cost, but only if the customer agreed not to write negative reviews.

Another customer reported 43 of 81 boxes delivered, with items stolen from storage including two bicycles. A separate complaint described receiving a voicemail threatening to "come take belongings" if an additional $850 was not paid, alongside $15,000 in furniture damage.

One particularly notable incident involved a driver who turned around in Oklahoma, drove to Arizona, and quit on the spot. A helper attempted to drive the truck back toward familiar territory and got the vehicle stuck on an abandoned wash near Big Bear, where it sat unattended with a customer's belongings for three days.

The company's MoveAdvisor account has been suspended for violating the platform's terms of agreement. Reviews note the company operates under multiple names and phone numbers across several Orange County addresses.

The illegal dumping incident captured by ABC7 resulted in a single $100 citation from the Santa Ana Police Department. In a follow-up report, Pro Movers Inc offered trucks and labor for a neighborhood cleanup. General Manager John Romero said details would be posted on the company's social media "in the coming weeks."

The company continues to operate. Its most recent MCS-150 filing with FMCSA was dated April 30, 2026. It reports eight power units and eight drivers. The BBB granted the company accreditation on March 17, 2025, despite the documented F rating and complaint history.

Before hiring any moving company, check its federal authorization on the FMCSA SAFER database at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov. If the company is classified as "Intrastate Only" or shows "NOT AUTHORIZED" under operating authority, it cannot legally perform interstate moves regardless of what its website advertises.

Be cautious of any settlement offer that requires you not to post negative reviews. This is a documented tactic used to suppress complaint visibility.
