The Moving Company ABC7 Investigated Had Already Set Up Its Replacement

In January 2018, ABC7 Eyewitness News investigated B&B Transportation, a Sun Valley moving company that had amassed 51 complaints with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in a single year. Customers told reporters their furniture had been held for months in an LA County warehouse. A driver texted a fake GPS location showing Minneapolis while the truck never left Los Angeles. The company's Yelp reviews were traced to the same IP address.

The company's listed president, a man identified only as "Gal Jeddae," told a reporter by phone that severe weather was causing delays. ABC7 reported they could find no record of anyone by that name in California.

We found him. His full legal name is Gal Robi Jeddae, and California Secretary of State records show he had already incorporated a replacement moving company at the same Sun Valley address five months before the ABC7 story aired. That replacement company, USA Logistics Inc., went on to draw 97 additional federal complaints, an F rating from the Better Business Bureau, and a $25,000 judgment in federal court.

B&B Transportation operated from 11732 Roscoe Blvd in Sun Valley, with one truck and interstate authority under USDOT 1787412. The company had logged just 2 FMCSA complaints in 2014. By 2017, that number had exploded to 51.

Federal inspectors found 60% of B&B's truck drivers out of service during inspections. The national average is 5.5%.

Customer Deidre Bailey told ABC7 her furniture was picked up in June. Six months later, she still had not received it. She replaced everything and planned to sue. Another customer's belongings were recovered only after ABC7 reporters showed up at the warehouse where the goods had been sitting for nearly 60 days.

Tomer Jeddah, listed in business records as Vice President, did not answer questions. The president, identified as Gal Jeddae, was reached by phone but offered no substantive explanation.

California Secretary of State filings tell the rest of the story.

B&B Transportation Services, Inc. (entity 3123627) was incorporated on June 25, 2008. The registered agent for service of process: Gal Robi Jeddae.

On August 22, 2017, while B&B was accumulating those 51 complaints and five months before ABC7 aired its investigation, Jeddae filed articles of incorporation for a new company: USA Logistics, Inc. (entity C4058378). He signed the filing himself as sole incorporator.

The 2023 Statement of Information for USA Logistics reveals the full picture. Gal Robi Jeddae is listed as CEO, Chief Financial Officer, Secretary, sole Director, and Agent for Service of Process. He holds every position in the company. The business type filed with the state: "Moving and Storage."

USA Logistics initially operated from the same Sun Valley address as B&B: 11732 Roscoe Blvd. It later moved to an office suite in Encino, then to 15001 Raymer Street in Van Nuys.

The consumer complaints against USA Logistics describe the same tactics that ABC7 documented at B&B.

One customer told the Better Business Bureau that after movers packed and loaded half their belongings, three men stood in the home and demanded $20,000 on the spot to finish the job. Another customer was quoted one price, charged $4,000, then told to pay an additional $2,000 after the truck was half loaded. The company refused to tell the customer which warehouse held their belongings.

Reviewers on MoveAdvisor, where the company carries a 1.1 out of 5 rating across 104 reviews, describe stolen tools, crushed boxes, missing jewelry, and receiving items that belonged to someone else. One customer filed a damage claim and was offered roughly 1% of the documented loss.

Multiple reviewers report the company also operated under the names VIC Moving and Storage, Moving USA Logistics, and State to State Logistics.

In 2019, the California Franchise Tax Board suspended USA Logistics for failure to pay taxes. The company was revived months later and continued operating.

On September 11, 2024, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California issued a final judgment against USA Logistics, Inc. The U.S. Department of Justice, acting on behalf of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, had sued the company for repeated unauthorized transportation of household goods.

USA Logistics admitted all violations. The court ordered the company to pay $25,000. FMCSA Deputy Administrator Vinn White said the case was part of Operation Protect Your Move, a nationwide crackdown that conducted 60 investigations and more than 30 enforcement actions against movers with the worst complaint records.

Today, USA Logistics' DOT number (1650518) is inactive in the federal SAFER database. B&B Transportation Services, Inc. is FTB Suspended. Both companies are effectively shut down.

On November 3, 2021, someone registered a new California LLC: B & B Transportation Services LLC (entity 202130910839). It is currently active.

This entity does not list Gal Robi Jeddae as its agent. The registered agent and sole organizer is Rimon Aja, with an address in Santee, California, roughly 120 miles south of the San Fernando Valley in San Diego County.

We have not established a direct connection between Aja and Jeddae. What the public record shows is that someone registered a new LLC under the exact trade name of the original, now-suspended B&B corporation, three years after USA Logistics took over operations at the same address.

Across two confirmed entities under the same sole operator, approximately 148 federal consumer complaints were filed. One company was exposed on local television. The other was taken to federal court. Both DOT numbers are now inactive.

Before hiring any moving company, take these steps.

Look up the company on FMCSA's SAFER database at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov. The DOT number should be active and operating authority should say "Authorized." Check the California Secretary of State business search at bizfileonline.sos.ca.gov. Look at who the registered agent is and whether that person appears on other suspended or dissolved entities.

Search the company name plus "complaints" or "scam" before signing anything. Get a written, binding estimate. Never pay large deposits by cash, Zelle, or Venmo. These payment methods offer no chargeback protection, which is exactly why fraudulent movers prefer them.

If movers demand more money after loading your belongings, that may constitute extortion. Contact local law enforcement and file a complaint with FMCSA at fmcsa.dot.gov/protect-your-move.

The addresses linked to these entities include 11732 Roscoe Blvd in Sun Valley, 5429 Newcastle Ave Suite 111 in Encino, 15001 Raymer Street in Van Nuys, and 9830 North Magnolia Ave in Santee.
