Consumer found United Best Moving online. Salesperson Johnny provided a quote and said they would find the best movers. Carrier Giovanni Van Lines LLC showed up. Consumer's daughter handling pickup was told movers wanted additional $2,000. Delivery truck looked like it had seen better days, door barely opened. Movers dumped belongings, leaving furniture stacked and damaged. Total of 4 pieces of furniture damaged, 5 boxes lost. Claims process required computer and internet the consumer did not yet have at new location. Consumer offered $50 for losses valued at much more. Consumer went to small claims court and won judgment. Company has not paid.

Consumer contracted with United Best in February 2023. Not told the move would be subcontracted. Paid two installments totaling $5,000. On February 25, belongings loaded. Days later, "Chris R" from Roadrunner demanded remaining balance before delivery. After months of threats, consumer told delivery would be June 30. Carrier demanded payment before delivery via money orders. When consumer asked who to make money orders out to, driver said "Roadrunner Transit." Chris R told consumer to leave money orders blank and have driver fill them out. Consumer called police and filed a report but had no legal right to her own belongings. Total loss nearly $10,000. Roadrunner had changed names multiple times: Polaris, Roadrunner Moving, Roadrunner Transit, Roadrunner Movings Pro.
