It says that it functions as a Stevens Worldwide agent for interstate moves. However, it self-hauls every shipment going 600 miles or less using its own trucks and drivers (desirable), and even goes up to 1500 miles on occasion. At least for local and relatively short-distance interstate moves, it has an excellent reputation in the industry. As of 3/16/11 it had an 'A+' BBB rating with 1 complaint over the past 36 months. Marathon is located at 129 York Avenue in Randolph with phone numbers 781-963-0522, W 617-325-1832, W and 617-966-5152. One of the MovingScam moderators toured the facility in 2006 and met the owner of the company, Paul Nelson, and a couple of the drivers, Paul's wife, who also works at the company, doing inside sales and billing. The moderator was very favorably impressed by all of the Marathon personnel and by the warehouse and trucks. 'rashba' gave Marathon a very good review for a 10-mile within-state move in 8/06. This company charged $164/hour for 3 workers and a truck. 'korent' (real name Kyle) posted that Marathon was 'great' for his move in Jamaica Plain in 2006. 'ploka' gave Marathon (and especially the driver, Mikko) an excellent report for a move to DC in 10/07 including a plasma TV; they delivered the next day. 'Steven' (last name posted in review) praised Marathon highly in 10/08 for his move to FL. 'My belongings arrived on time and with no damage.'
