| 5/5 | From Maria's first visit to give me an estimate to the time they left my new home, working with Joy's Movers was indeed a joy. They were responsive, clear, honest, and conscientious. I moved from a large 3 bedroom townhouse, with two sets of deep stairs to be navigated, to a smaller house. They moved everything quickly and carefully, nothing was broken, and they completed the entire move in 6 hours. | Amy Lighthill | |
| 1/5 | I would not recommend them to anyone. When they packed up our stuff they just threw things into bags with nothing making sense. They also pee'd in my tub when we have a working toilet. When they brought the stuff back things were damaged and broken. We are also missing a bunch of kitchen stuff, my wedding band and other things. When we paid extra to have insurance they say oh well and call the insurance company but won't give us the name or number to call them. DO NOT USE THEM!!! | Marissa Rice | |
| 1/5 | Broke my $5k glass table — a wheel fell off that is entirely un-fixable. Chipped a ton of paint, very visible scratches in many places on every furniture piece. Threw boxes and fragile items from balcony into a large box. Dumped many packed boxes — everything spilled out. They showed pictures claiming scratches were already there at the start to avoid responsibility — you could not even see the marks he referred to, and I watched him take pictures ONLY after they caused damages. They agreed to help my Dad fill a Uhaul but then ran off and hid in their truck. | X | |
| 1/5 | Severe damage to several furniture pieces — I have before/after proof (time-stamped) showing the damage occurring DURING the time of the move while on-the-clock. Workers did not speak English, yet I was promised they would. They did not follow ANY instructions or written labels on fragile boxes. Three huge boxes fell off top of a 3-story balcony on to the ground. Management did nothing to compensate for any damage; refused communications; they fabricated fake evidence trying to claim I had damage before the move. Lawyers told me I have a very strong case. | Anonymous | |
| 1/5 | This appears nothing more than a scam operation designed to profit from honest consumers. We paid a $100 deposit. I called to cancel the move 6 days prior. The company would not provide a refund because 'the six days was not enough time for them to obtain any business to make up for our cancellation.' Of note is no services were rendered by Joy's Movers. | Thomas Kent |
