North American agent in Santa Ana (also in Oxnard and Ventura). This is a large agent. As of 10/26/10 the company had an 'A' rating with the BBB with 2 complaints over the past 36 months. Reportedly it went through some organizational changes around 2004 that caused some mismanagement for a while. People posting here report that it gives low estimates. Industry people say that there are a lot of people with limited English working there, which can create confusion at times. 'x-countrymove' (real name Patti) had a bad experience with Alex in 2004. She was given an apparently lowball Nonbinding estimate for her shipment to FL and her weight came in more than 5000 pounds above what she expected, resulting in a cost significantly above the estimate. However, after she protested, North American Van Lines rescinded the excess charges so that she ended up paying only 110% of the Nonbinding estimate. In other words, the van line went 'above and beyond' to make up for the Alex salesperson's inaccurate estimate. 'stemalur' reported in 3/05 that her move to KY was disrupted by a driver quitting. 'janele245' posted that Alex gave her a low estimate for her 7/08 move to GA and the move went very well.
